Threat and Vulnerability Assessments

See the risk before it is exploited.

Intelligence-led assessment of how people, processes, and environments create exposure, including the assessment of hostile and threatening communications.

A threat and vulnerability assessment examines how people, processes, culture, and the physical environment interact in practice, and where weakness is most likely to accumulate.

Assessments may be proactive, forming part of routine risk management, or incident-informed, following a specific concern or event. In either case the aim is the same: a clear, evidence-informed view of exposure, and recommendations that are proportionate to the risk.

The behavioural dimension

Most security failures involve people, not only systems. We bring behavioural intelligence to every assessment, considering patterns of behaviour, communication, and the indicators of influence, coercion, or deception that precede many incidents. This is what distinguishes our work from purely technical reviews, and it is central to how we understand and reduce risk.

Hostile and threatening communications

Where an organisation or an executive receives anonymous, hostile, or threatening communications, including extortion attempts or threats to personal safety, we assess them both practically and forensically. Forensic linguistics and authorship analysis help consider authorship and credibility, while structured behavioural threat assessment weighs the writer's posture, grievance, fixation, and the risk of escalation. The objective is to inform decisions and support prevention, not to alarm.

Within a counterespionage picture

A threat is rarely isolated. We connect these assessments to technical surveillance countermeasures and insider threat advisory, reading exposure across its technical, human, and organisational dimensions, so that executive threat and vulnerability are understood as a whole rather than in fragments.
